Your friend says your new haircut "mogs" everyone at school. What happened?
To mog someone is to outshine them just by standing next to them. It grew out of looksmaxxing forums. Take the win.
-
Question 2 of 10
Someone grabs a bite of your sandwich and yells "fanum tax!" What just happened?
The tax is the bite. It's named after the streamer Fanum, whose friends joked on stream that he always helped himself to their food.

-
Question 4 of 10
You trip on the stairs and your cousin says "-1000 aura." What dropped?
Aura is how cool you look right now, scored like points in a video game. Tripping costs a lot. Recovering smoothly wins some back.
-
Question 5 of 10
What does "6 7" mean?
It comes from a Skrilla song and basketball edits, but kids shout it because it means nothing. Dictionary.com still made it Word of the Year for 2025.

"Stop glazing him." You're being told to stop...
Glazing is hyping someone up way too much. Picture a cruller dunked twice. That much.

Which phrase did Oxford pick as its Word of the Year for 2024?
Brain rot won in 2024. Rizz is the trap: it won the year before, in 2023.

"Chat, is this real?" Who is chat?
Streamers say "chat" to their viewers. Kids picked it up and now talk to the room like it's a Twitch stream.
-
Question 10 of 10
Who or what is Tralalero Tralala?
It's Italian brainrot: AI-made creatures with fake Italian names that took over TikTok in 2025. The shark has three legs, too.
Your score
Certified Unc
You read this quiz with your glasses on your head. That's fine. Someone has to know how taxes work.
Lowkey Online
You know the words. You'd just never say them out loud. Respect.
Chronically Online
You've watched more Skibidi Toilet than you'd admit at a job interview.
Terminal Brainrot
Go outside. Touch grass. Then come back and post the score, because you earned it.
Copy your score in a fancy font
This brainrot quiz has ten questions, all built from words a sixth grader would drop at lunch without blinking. Some came from YouTube, some from Twitch chat, and one came from an AI video of a three-legged shark in blue Nike sneakers that I still can't unsee. Tap an answer and you'll know right away if you got it. Score high and you can copy the result in a fancy font for your bio.
I made the wrong answers tempting on purpose. "Cooked" sounds like it's about food. It isn't. Get through all ten and the quiz tells you where you land, from Certified Unc to Terminal Brainrot.
How Brainrotted Are You?
Your score out of ten tells you. Zero to three means you're an unc, and that's fine, since someone has to know how taxes work. Four to six is lowkey online: you know the words but would never say them out loud. Seven or eight means you've watched more Skibidi Toilet than you'd admit at a job interview. Nine or ten? Go outside. Touch grass. Then come back and post the score.

Where the Quiz Words Came From
None of this started in a classroom. Brain rot is the oldest by a mile: Henry David Thoreau used it in Walden back in 1854, griping that people picked easy ideas over hard ones. Oxford made it Word of the Year in 2024, about 170 years later. Thoreau would hate TikTok.
| Word | Where it started | When it blew up |
|---|---|---|
| brain rot | Thoreau's Walden, 1854 | 2024, Oxford Word of the Year |
| skibidi | Skibidi Toilet, a YouTube series | 2023 |
| rizz | Short for charisma, spread by streamers | 2023, Oxford Word of the Year |
| fanum tax | The streamer Fanum and his AMP crew | 2023 |
| Ohio | "Only in Ohio" memes | 2022 |
| NPC | Video games, then NPC livestreams on TikTok | 2023 |
| mog | Looksmaxxing forums | 2024 |
| aura | TikTok "aura points" videos | 2024 |
| cooked | Old slang for done for, picked back up online | 2024 |
| glazing | Stream chats and gaming clips | 2024 |
| chat | Streamers talking to their viewers | 2024 |
| 6 7 | Skrilla's song "Doot Doot (6 7)" plus basketball edits | 2025, Dictionary.com Word of the Year |
| Tralalero Tralala | AI "Italian brainrot" videos | 2025 |
Look how fast it moves. Skibidi went from a toilet cartoon on YouTube to the Cambridge Dictionary in about two and a half years, which is quicker than most words I learned in school ever managed. A year from now, half this table will sound like your uncle trying too hard at Thanksgiving.
The Trap Questions
Three of the ten are built to trip you. Cooked means doomed, not handy in the kitchen. Glazing has nothing to do with donuts. And 6 7 means nothing, which is the whole bit. Kids yell it, wobble both palms up and down like a cheap kitchen scale, then wait. Some adult always asks. Picked "somebody's height"? Half credit. LaMelo Ball is listed at six foot seven, and fans cut his highlights into 6 7 edits. The other half is the Skrilla track. There's a longer write-up on what 6 7 means if you need closure. You won't get any.
The Oxford one catches people too. Rizz won in 2023. Brain rot won in 2024. Skibidi and delulu never won a thing. They just got into the Cambridge Dictionary in 2025, which is sort of a participation trophy.
Show Off (or Hide) Your Score
Got a number you're proud of? The result screen turns it into four fancy fonts, so it pastes straight into a Discord bio or an Instagram story with no app. Want more styles? The Discord font generator has 25 of them. Got a score you'd rather bury? The cursed text generator will glitch it until nobody can read it.
Bombed it? Drop the slang into the Gen Alpha translator and out comes plain English that your mom or your old fourth-grade soccer coach could read on the first try without squinting. For the slay and no cap era there's its big sister, the Gen Z brainrot translator. Both are free. Both are a bit unhinged.
Brainrot Questions People Ask
What does brainrot mean? Mush. It's the foggy feeling after hours of short, silly clips, and it's also the clips themselves. Kids wear it like a merit badge earned at 2 a.m. on TikTok.
How brainrotted am I? Take the quiz. Seven or more out of ten means you've put real hours into the comment section, and your screen time report already knows it.
Is brainrot bad for your brain? Not literally. Nothing rots from watching Skibidi Toilet, but hours of fast clips can make a long book feel hard to start, and most people notice that part.
What is Italian brainrot? AI animals. It's a 2025 TikTok trend of odd made-up creatures with fake Italian names, like Tralalero Tralala, a shark in blue sneakers, and Bombardiro Crocodilo, a crocodile that's also a bomber plane.
What is the most brainrot word? Skibidi. It flips between cool and bad, or means nothing whatsoever, depending on who's talking. Cambridge basically shrugged and printed all three.
Is this quiz okay for kids? Yes. Words with rude meanings got cut, so nobody ends up in the principal's office or muted in the family group chat.
